Pixie Greeting Card

Well, I have been making some more greeting cards. This pixie in one from a digital image I printed off my HP printer. I downloaded the digital pixies from Charmed Cards. She is colored with Prismacolor Pencils using Goo Gone for blending. The paper is K&Company's Specialty Paper Pad called Blue Awning.
It has lots of glitter already on the paper also.

I have used Angel Wings Shimmerz from Memory Making Crafts on her wings and lots of Glitter (Sparkles) from Denami Designs You can't see the glitter that well in the photo but I love their "Sparkles" giltter.

Some of the Necklaces I have sold

Here are photos of two of the necklaces I sold at the Mengei International Museum in Balboa Park, CA. I can't post all of them so this will give you an idea of my design style. I only have one necklace there now in their inventory and I need to get busy creating! Must take more down there SOON!

I really have found that it is easier to put my jewelry on consignment than it is to sell at fairs. Although I do sell at the Summer's Past Farms Antique and Craft Fair twice a year. I love the atmosphere and the weather is always good. Nice and sunny.
I will be there December 5th. Stop buy and see me.

Domino Display for the Golden Poppy Boutique

I took this quick snapshot of my display before I left for the trek up to Alpine. AGAIN not the best photo. It does look better in person. Anyway the shop is very colorful and my Domino Necklaces will be the top showcase in the boutique.

My Viejas Casino Jewelry Display

A few years back I sold my jewelry at Viejas Casino. The photo here was taken with a cell phone. Of course, no cameras are allowed in the casino and I had to get permission from the Gaming Commission to take this. That's why it's so blurry.. Sorry.

Greeting Cards

I haven't written anything for a few days because I am working on my domino display for the "Golden Poppy", a little boutique in Alpine, CA. I will have a photo up in a few days.

I do love to craft. I am working on some scrapbooking pages for my little Angel, Rachel.

I have just started selling greeting card on Etsy. My shop is called "Plain and Simple". I have made so many cards and the are just sitting around here so I thought I would try collecting money for them instead of dust. Surprise! I have sold a couple. I need to take more photos of them and post them but haven't had enough time yet.

Here is one of the cards.

Domino Pendants - Alcohol Inks - Diva

I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks as my background and then used a stamped with Die Cut Diva stamp using StazOn black ink. I put a cute little rhinestone star on her forehead and used a Bali Silver Heart Charm for more pizazz. I really like this stamp. The Lost Coast Designs has great Diva stamps. I love them all but they won't fit on a domino. So I masked off the bottom of the stamp from her skirt down and stamped the domino. I then masked off the top from the skirt up and stamped the domino. Ha! She looks a little squatty. Is squatty a word? The close up shows more of her skirt bottom. It really looks like it could be just the background.

Domino Pendants - Alcohol Inks - Queen

I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks for the background and a stamp from The Enchanted Gallery. These stamps are made to fit on a domino, which is approx 1" x 2". They come in sheets so you have a variety of stamps to choose from. She also has great tutorials on using different mediums for coloring your stamped domino.
I accented her necklace with a 14K gold marker. Doesn't show well in the photograph though.

Domino Pendants - Alcohol Inks - Not Stamped

I am trying to post all of my Domino Pendants on here before the end of next week. I'm not the greatest photographer and that's part of why I haven't blogged before now.

I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks again on this Pendant only I didn't use any stamps.
Actually the flower started out as a mistake. I had a smudge that looked like a pedal so I just corrected it with more pedals.
I used a paint brush with a small amount of 24k gold marker ink to make the stem and then added a pearl to the center. I then glued a vermeil daisy at the bottom.

I know the picture isn't that good. Sorry

Domino Pendants - Using Alcohol Inks-Butterfly

I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks for the background and then stamped the image with StazOn black ink. I think this is a simple design and makes a great Pendant! I used Krylon spray to preserve the image.
I love working with these inks. They blend together so well.
I bought the Butterfly stamp at Michaels for 50% off. It's an Inkadinkado stamp. I do use Michaels only when I need something fast. I always keep some 40% coupons on hand just in case I do need something in a hurry.

Domino Pendants - Coloring with Chalk

I stamped this domino pendant with StazOn Black Ink. I then took the domino , stamp side up, and place onto Ranger Acid Free Medium which acts like a glue and keeps the chalk on the domino when applied. I used a Q-Tip to apply the chalk. I think that the colors are perfect. I do notice when using chalk the colors are more muted. I then sprayed the domino with Krylon to preserve the colors.
